How three very different celebrations used a patch bar

Different venues, different guest counts, same result: the favor everyone kept.

The garden hundred

Coastal Orange County · 100 guests · one favor station

A spring garden wedding with a strict "nothing that ends up in a landfill" brief. We ran a single favor table with natural canvas totes and a 45-patch botanical menu โ€” pressed flowers in thread form. The couple skipped a champagne wall and moved that budget to the bar. By the send-off, the lawn was a sea of matching totes, and the couple's only regret was not ordering a jacket for the officiant, who asked. Lesson we now pass on: order two or three extra blanks beyond the RSVP count for exactly this reason.

The ranch production

Inland San Diego County · 150 guests · jackets, hats, favors

Full three-part setup at a working ranch: couple's denim jackets pressed live at golden hour while the photographer circled, fourteen trucker hats for the wedding party during cocktail hour, and a favor lane that ran until the band's last set. The venue had one distant power drop, so we pre-walked the site two weeks out and brought rated cable runs โ€” the kind of thing that never makes the mood board but decides whether the night works. Total station time: four hours live, one hour in, forty-five minutes out.

The two-night weekender

Las Vegas · 90 guests · welcome party + reception

The couple booked the reception station first, then realized the crew would already be in town Friday. We added a welcome-party hat bar at their rented house for a fraction of a standalone booking โ€” the $900 travel fee covered the trip, not each night. Friday built the hats; Saturday's favor table pressed city-motif patches onto bandanas that doubled as heat relief on a 104-degree terrace. Two nights, one travel line, and a group photo where forty hats point at the camera.
